What It Is:
A 12-hour course written and facilitated by Tribes TLC® trainers, who, collectively have over 60 years administrative experience at the district office (even superintendent) level. The Art Form of Leadership is designed for school leaders and leadership teams to complete authentic leadership tasks and gain a new exciting view of their roles in re-culturing the school.
Why You Want It:
The Art Form of Leadership initiates Tribes collegial team learning experiences that will create a professional learning community environment to support and sustain increasing student learning and achievement.
The training will help participants answer the following questions:
- What ideas, tools, and structures help leaders facilitate school-wide change?
- How do you build the capacities of a leadership team?
- What unique knowledge or skills do leaders need to work with adult learners?
- How can we increase trust, common knowledge, energy, and hope within our leadership team?
- How do you utilize the Tribes TLC process as a seamless bridge to create professional collaborative learning communities?
- How does living the Tribes Trail build the relational trust, collegiality and resiliency that are critical for school improvement?
- How do we have reflective conversations around tough issues and continue to grow a caring culture?
How It Works:
Participants are encouraged to attend as leadership teams from their schools; however, individual registration is welcome. Participants will experience the most benefit from this training if they have already participated in the Basic, Middle School, or High School Tribes training.
Follow-up coaching and support are available throughout the year so that schools can intensify the use of the Tribes TLC leadership development processes and increase the effectiveness of Tribes TLC throughout the whole school community.

What It Costs:
CenterSource Systems has developed a cost effective capacity building model so that you can bring Tribes TLC to your school or district.
Year One:
To insure highest quality training and implementation, your initial professional development (the Basic, Middle School, or High School level training) will be provided by our experienced certified training staff who will come to your school site.
Year Two:
The 14 hour Leadership training is an advanced level course to develop leadership teams and to intensify and sustain the use of the Tribes process in year 2 and beyond. Contact CenterSource (see contact form below) for pricing information.
Training of Trainers:
In order for your school and district to sustain and intensify use of the Tribes process over many years, your next step is to develop Certified Tribes Trainers who will be able to facilitate all levels of training throughout your entire district without contracting through CenterSource. With this capacity building model, many large and small districts have implemented Tribes TLC for nearly twenty years at minimal cost. CenterSource supports these trainers and districts to insure quality implementation and overall success of the program. Your district trainers will be able to participate in ongoing professional development through the international Summer Institute for trainers. Remember… Tribes TLC is not an add-on program (one more thing that you have to do), but becomes a way of teaching and learning — the foundation or plate upon which to layer other initiatives, programs or curricula.
